I have the opportunity to get a 2000 Toro Z 52" with 23 hp with 1000 hours for $3200 from my dealer. Of course it has its wear and tear but he said it starts right up. What are your thoughts on a mower with this amount of hours and the price for it? Thanks

Sorry, I think that price is way, way to high for a mower of that age and hours. JMO but check the local papers. There should be some new guys going under right about now and you can probably get a real deal. BTW does it have a hobbs meter or are the hours just what you were told? Most Lawn Cares are putting on over 1000 hours per year. What would a new one cost?
I have seen Bunton going for 4,000 new and Scagg has one for 5200. This dealer has his best interest at heart, not the buyer.

yes, the meter reads 1011 hours and the price of a new mower is roughly $6750...
