This mornig, I saw that rvsuper had replied to a thread and when I went to look, the thread was gone. It was the one that I was asking where Roger (thfireman) was. Why was it pulled?

Good word Crawdad. I like it.

Your question was answered by a few peoople, and I saw where the thread was headed, and it wasn't good. I had told the person you were asking about in a previous post that as with ice cream there are many different kinds, same with forums. Pick your favorite flavor and be happy. He obviously wasn't, and he decided to spam the board over and over mentioning his new favorite flavor.. that wasn't cool, and it was totally uncalled for.

His original handle has not been banned ... I only banned the one he used to sign up and leave about 15 spam posts.

Amazes me really....all of these supposed "grown men" and "mature adults"....they act like moronic children, get escorted away from this site politely, then run to another site and throw out words like "pre-school" and "kiddies" in relation to the members and atmosphere at this site. Cracks me up.... A grown man spamming an industry forum web site with a fake name because he was upset that he didn't get what he wanted...Sounds to me like someone didn't want to play by the rules anymore, so they decided to take their ball and go home:cry:

Bottom line....there are other forums. We will never deny it. Some of them are helpful for the industry and represent at the very least, a different "flavor" like Jodi said.

And then you have the forums that do nothing but piggy-back LawnSite.... all of their members are actual banned or suspended members of our site....most of their forum is riddled with one word responses like "yeah", "OK", "Sure" and so on, and they spend more time trying to steal from LawnSite (concepts, design, features, as well as members)....

But here is my favorite part....and I have to admit, it is a bit flattering....the only threads they get with more than 5 replies are threads directly about me (Darth Vader) and LawnSite (the evil empire)....

And trust me, this will find its way to their site and they will all be in an uproar claiming (as they have now for almost a year) that LawnSite is going down and they will all meet with me one day and blah blah blah....

I guess a good way to compare it is like a pain-in-the-butt little brother....he tries to cause you grief, he never succeeds, and all you can do is laugh at him. :D

    Give and receive.
Respect is a two way street.

CSRA....Jodi is 100% correct. I speak to just about all the other forum owners and administrators on a regular basis. I help them every chance I get and vice versa. Competition is healthy and good for the industry as a whole.

But there is a difference between those looking to compete and those looking to play games by spreading untrue rumors, lying, stealing, and repeatedly trolling this forum. Those "types" of people do not deserve respect.

    And CSRA...speaking of playing games....c'mon.
