Tie Rod

    May be a dumb ? but how do I remove the tie rod from a Kioti LK3054 tractor. I took the castle nuts off the bottom but the tie rod will not come off. Please help if you can. Thanks.

    What you need is a tie rod removing tool, AKA pickle fork, a piece of heavy steel, that almost resembles a tuning fork, except the fork end is tapered to wedge the joint apart. Sometimes you can get the tie rod end out by putting the nut on loose, and lay a bfh on the spindle arm, and hit the nut with another bfh, but be sure to hit it square, or you can mess up the threads!
