My buddy has a scag w/ 24 hp briggs less than 80 hours. all of a sudden starts drinking oil and loss of power. New fuel and air filter. Compression test showed plenty of compression, one revolution 90 psi, two 115, three almost 150. He found the crankcase vent tube loose, reconnected w/ no change. I plan to go help w/ valve adjustment in the morning. Kind of scary since I have a newer 26hp. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks.
