I'm thinking of buying a buddys Scag Tiger Cub ''48". Question is steering controls feel alot tighter than my Toro.Is that normal or is it just me?I would like to add it to the group, just wonderin if thats normal.

Yes, that's normal for scag. You could lose the dampeners or put softer ones in if you want but most of us get used to it and even prefer it.

if you could fit em on, try putting on Bad Boy or Hustler dampeners. They're really smooth!

I think the idea is not to jam the unit from full forward to full reverse and put stress on the hydro so Scag wants you to work hard.
