timber!!!!!

    i live in cleve. ohio, how do i go about installing 4*4 timbers as a border for a flower bed without them shifting after about a year?

    bury the first course as you should do any wall etc.......drill holes hammer in with rebar......stager 2nd course drill holes nail together with galvanized spikes

    I would sujest some crushed blue stone underneath, to help drainage. you will have less freeze thaw problem. I use it under timber retaining walls, nothing moves.
