For those that topdress with a Turfco/Earth and Turf/Ecolawn applicator...

What kind of time does it take you to actually apply material to a lawn and clean up. From pulling up to the curb, to blowing away the last bit of material from walks? Lets say a standard 7-8k sq ft lawn, for examples sake.

I am looking at buying a used machine b/f spring and am trying to work out some pricing. If I had to throw a dart, I would say 1.5 hours to do a job like this from start to finish. Am I off?

Me and one guy could do that in 45 minutes to 1 hour with variances due to moisture content of material. Distance from dump trailer to area of application and ease of acces to open vs closed in areas

OK thanks. My 1.5 hours was for one man so not too far off though topdressing over the long haul solo would get to be overwhelming for one guy I'm sure.

I'm not sure you would be able to do it that quick alone. Maybe?

Ya I am sure one guy would take more than just a multiple of 2...

At any rate, given the cost of the compost material I have located, and time estimate here, I am thinking price the service somewhere around $70/K all in. More if pre-aeration is desired.
