Tips for a beginner in irrigation in Texas?

    What all is involved with getting the license? I've had a lawn business for 10+ years and was thinking about getting a license.

    You have to take the 40 hour irrigators course and pass it. It's pretty hard to fail the course unless you just don't show up. Then, you have to send your certificate from the course and fees to tceq to sign up for a test date. Pass the 4 sections of the test and you get your license in about 2 months.
    The test isn't really that hard just pay attention in class.
    Study the hydraulics too!

    I could be wrong on this,, but my understanding is to make the connection to the water supply line required a master plumbers lic.? Someone let me know please...
