All of my clients lately have been tipping me. I got a $30 tip last night when I went to pick up a check on a $45 job. Are these kind of tips common?

I have received the occasional tip in the past. Almost always the situation was that I underbid the job. The customer was aware of this and threw a tip my way. If it is happening often you might want to rethink your bids. You want your customers to be happy with the work you do, but if you are charging the proper amount they will not want to part with anymore money. :)

:)I got two Sloppy Joe's with coleslaw on them with some crispy fries. MMMMgood. Also one foot long subway sandwich. I'm not complaining, my aunt takes good care of me. I hope the IRS doesn't get word.

Yeah I started a new client $45 job and they gave me a $50 tip. I honestly didn't know what to say. I'll definately always pick up trash I see. I will always go the extra mile. It's almost as if their yard instantly became my yard in its level of importance.

I do think that the cause may be that I am underbiding most of these yards.
