I noticed on the spec. sheet the tires are 23x9.5-12 and the one I am looking at to buy from the local dealer is 20x10. Why is it different? Or is it an old model and the 23's are on the new models.

You must be looking at the new 36" or 42" Mini Z. The 44" or 52" comes with the 23 inch tires-- had 20 inch tires several years ago.

The older Mini's have 20" drive tires, this changed around 2004.
As the above post states, the Mini 36/42 units do also, they are a different mower though.

    It is a mini z with 20X10.

So my guess it is a 2004 model.

They should give me a better deal or I'll take a newer model.

Has the newer models improved over the 2004's that I would not want the older one. Should I make sure it is the newest model possible??

Smaller tires and a slight change in the frame, is all that is different.
I would buy it if it was priced right.
