I live in Mo and am getting lots of request for leaf work. Our temps range from 50 to 15 in the same week and sometimes same day. Some of the larger accounts that I use my 52" Great Dane need leaf removal but I an worried about damaging turf. What is the rule of thumb? Ground Temp? Most of the yards I service are either Blue grass or Fescue.

I was out doing cleanups today...

Still have plenty to do for the next couple weeks. Unless its below freezing or terribly wet then Im out working.

Just take your turns slower and the turf will be fine.

If the grass is dormant it doesn't matter. If the grass is still green and fleshy just make sure the frost is totally gone from the plant, all the way from the tip to the crown.
