Maybe some of you saw my post about a Tree Care Class in Medford.

Anyhow, I moved near Medford, Oregon, where - today - there is no horticulture college program.

After living here for a few months, I will say that I'm impressed by the diligence of any of you that live in landscape Never Never Land's (meaning no higher education available) that still persue some kind of reading and training that enables you to become licensed or capable.

Many guys don't give a darn - just buy tools and paste the job together. But I'm meeting several people that buy books, go to seminars, read online, learn irrigation through a pipe supplier class, etc.. And I think it's tremendous when landscapers are willing to "swim upstream" to do their job right - or learn it because they love the work.
