Here are some pictures from our largest job last year. Project consisted of: replacing an old SRW wall, building a wall for additional parking, complete backyard makeover, with double raised patios, pool, planting, night lighting and around 1000yards of fill. I time lapsed the entire job and you can check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aIF_9AnwWg In case you missed my shameless plug from a few posts back here it is again. Next month I am teaching a class called "YouTube Your Next Hardscape Project" for Nicolock. If anyone wants to learn how I make my job time lapse videos the class is about that and how to integrate them into your web site. Something we have had tremendous success with and has really helped us sell jobs. Don't worry I'm not a sales man so I wont try and sell you anything If you want to check out the show schedule and locations click this link. The seminars I'm teaching at are the six on the left. If you attend be sure to say hello! http://nicolock.com/nice Onto the pictures... A few before shots Starting to clear the backyard. Pushing over some trees. Starting to haul materials. Start of the replacement wall along the drive Wall all done Excavating for the wall for more parking and to support the shed We used the old block from the driveway wall and just added new block to the top. The face faces the woods and is not seen. Yes we used grid, sorry no pictures. You can see the roll in the previous picture All done. Room for one car Starting the back yard. Removed the old deck Laying out fabric Starting some walls for the raised patio Had to leave the end of the wall open for access so we weren't doing everything by hand More walls getting started An in ground pool was part of this project as well. The pool guy went to dig the hole for the pool and hit ledge. He wanted big $$ to get his guy in and get rid of it. We got a guy who we work with to come in and break it out and I dug the rubble out. Bringing in the big guns Might as well make way for our wall while your here! Hammering the pool. Took not even a full day to hammer and dig out. The little machine that could All dug out So now we had to fill it all back in with good clean fill and compact it because it was a custom pool and needed to be shaped by the pool guy. Talk about an unexpected expense for the pool for the homeowner! Yikes. Hauling fill Starting to compact Almost to height All done to the pool guys specs Pool guy shaping the pool Done Pool is in More walls Wall close to done. Couldn't finish it because we had to leave a ramp into the back yard for the cement trucks for the pool Starting the "L" shaped granite steps Stone and geo-grid on every level First set done Starting the second set Raised patio and sitting walls almost done. Laying in the night lighting wire Getting there Compacting for the large patio Laying pavers Digging up the ramp so we can finish our wall Planting time Spreading loam Laying sod and building a play area for the kids play gym Almost finished. Unfortunately I dont have any other finished photos. We wanted some once the rest of the grass grew in, once it grew in it was the fall and the plants had lost there color. Planning on going back in the spring for some.
