Too Early To Plant Bermuda?

I live in extreme northeast Mississippi. Temps here this week are highs in the 70s and lows in the upper 40s. The forsythia are in full bloom. I'm definitely getting spring fever.

I get Good Friday off and was wondering about that being a good time to overseed my lawn. I am trying to find a rental yard that has a slit seeder. I plan on going over most of the yard (1 acre) with a bermuda/fertilizer mix.

My question is, the bermuda is still dormant here. Not even a sign of greening up. Is it too early to plant bermuda? If I plant it this weekend, will it come up later when the rest of the bermuda does?
