I just started doing fert apps this season... its probably a stupid question to some of you more advanced applicators but i was just wondering if it was too late to put down some sort of winterizer. Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

if the property warrants it, then yes. If you have new seed down and growing, then some fert will be required to help them through till goes dormancy and when it warms in the spring. Not to break balls, but if people have subscribed to your program, then the answer is up to you and you should have the answer.JMO

    Cool season turf spread away
Warm season turf, more than likely in Illinois to late in the season.

I have spread lawns in NE, KS and MO into December with excellent results the following year.
