For general summer cleanups after mowing, I keep it off. For leaves I will probably put it back on. I bought it in the spring and have not used it for leaf removals yet, but just guessing.

For blowing leaves or grass out of flowerbeds or off porches, I take the last section of tube off. For anything else, like driveways or leaf cleanups, I put it back on.

same thing which I do with my bp blowers, when your just blowing grass, their is really no reason for it, otherwise, for leaves is works well.

The bottom tube on all mine stay off. Never run them for grass or leaf season.

I keep the last tube off also. I've tried a few times to see which i liked better in different situations and for me, it's bottom tube off.
