Ok folks, pick your top 5 expenses on an annual basis. Let's see where we all stand in comparison. I'm sure labor and fuel are everyone's top or pretty close.

Either people are paying way to much for fuel or not figuring in a wage for themselves. Labor, including your own wage, is always going to be your biggest expense.

Solo operators will always say fuel. While people with more than 1 employee will say payroll. Kind of scewed results.

I figured labor would be number one too except I didn't specific this was only for crew operations. Solos plus one guy could also spend more on fuel than labor but it would be close.

How so? My salary alone is more than the company fuel budget for the year...........

Normally sole proprietors don't have a "payroll" expense. Normally you would just take pay out of the profits and your pay wouldn't be considered an expense.
