Well I've got enough lawns to cut for a couple of days a week, and would like to do lawn repair for 2-3 other days a week depending of course on any landscape jobs I get. Where I live is ravaged by grubs, I could fix lawns 24 hours a day all year it is so bad. I was thinking of putting a couple of yards into the pickup and going door to door.
Q1. Now, can i just spread the soil over the dead patches or should the dead turf be removed?
Q2. What should I be charging for say 10 square feet?
Q3. Besides a wheelbarrow, roller, rake, and spreader, is there anything else I will need?

    any tips/suggestions/advice/flames welcome

First get rid of the grubs.

I would not put soil mix right over the dead turf...remove it and then use a small rototiller ...mix in your soil ammendments, starter fertilizer, then rake, roll, seed, rake lightly, and mulch
