So I am buying a new Toro 3000 series to replace my Z500. I really like my Toro dealer so I buy off of them, they've always been good to me. Well this year I'm buying a 52 inch 3000 series for 7,700 new, taxes included through their Equine Program. What this is is basically if you do anything with horses you get the mower at 27% off of list price. I do a little work on a farm and that has horses so apparently I qualify. Dealer said if you so much as drive by a horse they'll get you signed up for the program. Picking it up this week. Went with the 52 carbureted, the EFI model wasn't an option on a 52 3000 series. Was going to go with the 60inch EFI, that was like 7,800 before taxes under the program. But I bought a 60 inch stander at a great deal and didn't need two 60's. So anybody else use this program or take advantage of it? Prices seem pretty decent and my model came in over 1000 cheaper than a similar exmark. Thoughts?

I'm off topic here, but you will love that mower. I just got the 48 inch for $7500 out the door in September, and I'm about to make my first 0% interest payment lol. Anyway, it cuts great and is very productive for me. My only suggestion is try get the upgraded seat thrown in the deal. I wish I would have know about that deal you are trying to get because I do some part work on a horse farm.

Well, it's YOUR dealers ass on the hook for the money off when they send in their verification paperwork and it doesn't check out on you....

I should report back that I don't know if I qualify for the program. I think my dealer was BSing me or that they really didn't know the ins and outs of the program. Apparently some dealers took advantage of the similar non profit option that was basically the same deal but I think this program has more regulation to it. IDK we'll see. The prices I said above were wrong. It was 6,800 plus tax which would be like 7,200 tax included. I'm still going to buy the model mower regardless. Oh well. Looks like I'm at about 8500 total.

Well just hauled it home today and it got covered in snow and road gunk... now I have to wash it. And I did qualify for the equine program. My wife and I had to buy it together because she was more involved in quine programs than I am and it met the threshold. Hopefully now I don't get divorced or I may be out a mower! Anyway it was 7,500 out the door so I saved about 1000 bucks over sticker. Didn't haggle over price, just paid what they told me. They bent over backwards to get me qualified for the program. I like the mower but it feels and seems cheaper than my old Z500. Smaller front and rear tires. I hate the plastic fenders. IDK we'll see how it goes.
