Ok I did a search on this and came up with alot on toro and alot on gator but nothing involving a 36" fixed deck with 15 hp kaw mulch kit and gators.
I am looking for the part number of the gator and the atomic mulch blades and which is better?
Also where is the best place to purchase these at. I have searched online and found some (no part number) for 15.00 apiece. sounds odd since I paid less than 8.00 for my 42 " a while back.

    Thanks in advance.

Atomic blades are toro's version of gators. they are the same thing.

Unlike Gators the serrated edges on Atomics are almost flat w/ the blade. Atomics have Zero Lift & cut Very Poorly at higher settings.

I realize that the concept is the same.....
But A Honda prelude is a honda prelude not a acura. Look the same but there are subtle differences.
What am I looking to spend when I do find someone who has gators for sale.

I use both and do not notice a difference in the 2. I pay around $9 per blade.

The blade on the right is an Atomic...on the left a regular Gator (Not Magnum). The serrated edges on the reg gator are much more pronounced & have greater sail. The Atomics are alomost flat & leave a Very Poor Cut.

Here is another picture of the 2. The Atomic is on the left, and a high lift gator is the one on the right.

In Thompson's photo the top blade is a Stens product.

the bottom is a Toro. I bought a Gator from Lesco had higher lift

    than Atomic. Ed

The atomic works better on leaf mulching because the slight less lift causes less dust. But on our fescue it still cuts well IMO.
