Does anynoe know what the B setting is? C setting?

I'm thinking that B is 3" and C is 2.5" but I'm not sure and can't find an owner's manual.

I've been cutting everything on the B height all year but for some reason it's not cutting well at that height right now (yes, I know it's hot and dry). And the C height is too short.

And another thing. I ran the mower under a pine tree with low limbs brushing it the other day. The RPMs fell just a little and haven't returned to normal. Anyone else experience anything like this?

I'm not sure what motor that has, But its very common with Briggs. The lever that holds the govenor spring gets bent when it runs in to things. Just hook a clamp on tach to the plug wire and bend it back until the RPMs are back the the range they should be at.

Put it on concrete and measure the height of the blade at the 2 settings.
