Toro Trimmer

    I have a straight shaft Toro string trimmer. When i went to start it up today it started fine but when i pulled the trigger it reved, then just bogged down and shut off. What could have happened?????

    New 1 on me did not know toro made a trimmer. ;)

    could be a lot of things. did it start back after that? how's the gas in the machine? did you check for spark if it didnt start back? has it been running fine before today? does it have a spark screen in the muffler? if so, it could be plugged up.

    Well Turf Doctor: It is an older model.

    Yes it did run fine before today. After it bogged down i tryed to start it again and it bogged down and shut off again. It is a brand new spark plug too.

    If it is starting and then bogging down, it sounds like a fuel delivery problem.

    Perhaps you have a clogged filter or maybe a kink in the fuel delivery line. Or perhaps the choke is broken and is on permanently. This would cause a problem like that as well.

    Would dirt in the gas cause it??? Also , no the choke isnt stuck already checked.
