I'm curious how these decks handle tall grass. I have a 44" toro classic deck and it's surprised me how well it knifes through pretty tall stuff w/o bogging or clumping. The new SFS decks seem similar, but I'm not sure if they are the same. My Exmark lazer 48" gives a good cut, but I'm a little disappointed with it in tall grass mowing at higher speeds.

I've never been very impressed with the way my z-master or pro-lines with the sfs deck cut in tall grass. in fact I'd say they're pretty crappy in tall grass unless you want to cut twice, which is what I usually do.

Thanks, I found a few other posts saying the same thing with a search. I'll stick to exmarks.

I think the sfs decks design is awesome for mowing tall wet grass, I guess it depends on the operator........Marks Mowing Service
