what are the advantages of the larger frame of the z500 then the z450. i know the engine is a little bigger but why would i need a larger frame mower and spend 1000 dollars more

If the frame is wider, it might offer more hillside stability. I don't really know, I've been wondering the same thing.

The 450 is to the 500's what the Lazer Z HP is to a regular Lazer Z.

Make sense to you this way?

The small one is just that.....smaller and a bit slower.

It has a vertical shaft engine (23 max hp) and 52" max size for the deck.

The bigger one is bigger and faster.

Horizontal shaft engines from 23-28hp and 52" to 72" decks.
