I have a 2006 F-150XL and was wandering what the best/cheapest way to toughen my rear suspension would be.

I though about adding another leaf spring, but would that help all that much?

    Thanks!

It would help a little. probably add another 1000 pounds or so to your capacity.

You have to remember you only have a half ton. You add a extra leaf you will end up with a rough ride. I would go with timbrens or the other option air bags.

I had a super spring on my chevy 1500 it helped a good bit and did not really make it ride and differently. Mine had 2 different settings one for very heavy and one for medium. It was good up for about another 750 pounds. I would suggest air bags if you are really going to be hauling alot of extra weight. They make your truck ride better to and just add air and you can level out about any load.

Air bags are really the way to go....very nice ride and really helps with tongue weight.

I think im going to the the 300 LBS rated supersprings, they are just slighty under $400

Im not hauling too much more weight, just some mulch, and i want to decrease sag from my trailer...

I think the supersprings will help for what i need based on what ive been reading.

I really dont wanna run all of the air lines and deal with all of the air based issues, just boost my trailer sag!
