Does anyone know what I could legaly tow with a 2000 gmc 7500?
Curb weight of the truck is around 7200kg, has a cat 3126 motor, splicer 7 speed tranny.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

That would depend on if you have a CDL or not.

That would depend on the way that the truck is setup, flatbed, fifth wheel, dump? Do you have air plumbed to the back? What is it tagged (licesed) for? What kind of terrain will it be used on, hilly or flat? City or highway driving? What is the rearend ratio? With that truck I wouldn't want to do more than 40,000lbs on a regular basis, not to say that it won't do the job but if moving that much weight there are more effective ways of doing it.

I am from canada so no cdl here, but i have the canadian equivelant. (AZ liscence) I have found the answer to my own question. GVWR is 14,968kgs or 33000lbs and GCVW is 21,751kgs or 47,953 lbs. I guess that means I'm good to pull around 14,451Kgs.:weightlifter:
