how many times do you trim the hedges? once in the spring and once in the fall.

and do you charge by the hour? like $70 an hour and give an estimate of how long it will take?

also how do you charge for spring/fall cleanup do you have a set price or do you charge that by the hour too.

First thing's first..... how many times do you cut your hair? Are you bald or do you have long shaggy, unkept hair? This is how you should you perceive pruning. Hopefully, you like to keep your hair cut on a regular basis, well then..... the same goes for shrubs.
It really just depends on the shrub. Some evergreens like junipers, may only require one pruning per year. Others, like privets or "uglyagnus" may need to be pruned every 2-3 weeks. Just try to learn what types of plants you have on your properties and learn their growth habits. Here in my area, an average of 4 prunings per year is common. (Though some are more and some are less, but that seems to be the average)
By the way... we charge per hour. You can't possibly have a set price until you know what you can base your pricing on and to do that you need to be comfortable in how long it takes you to do specific tasks.
By the way..... anyone know a good barber?
