    Hello Everyone!

I'd like to put away my trac vac until next year. But before I do I was curious if there is any maintenance for a trac vac blower assembly such as grease points, inspection, etc.

The unit has been making more noise than usual (from the blower assembly). I checked it over visually but seems fine. Any suggestions?

    Take care..

I just worked on a Trac Vac recently with noise problems. There should be a 8 or 10 bolt cover which allows exposure of the rotor. With a light check closely the welds where the fins of the rotor intersect the hub. The one I worked on had two fin weld breaks as well as hair line cracks in the back plate. The back plate was sprung enough either from a blow(picking up a rock, etc.) or centrifugal force after the weld breaks that it was rubbing the back side of the blower shroud. Other than an oil change, filter change, and draining (running dry) the fuel tank. I continually run stabilized fuel in both 2 and 4 stroke and never drain anything for the off season.
