just bought 40 acres in East Texas and was curios to what kind of tractor everyone recommends. 20 acres of hay fields and rest will be what ever comes up: small trees, shrubs, vines etc.... (example of size: Kubota "B" series. ) with front end loader, bush hog, and box blade. Any Ideas?

What dealers are in your area? I would go talk to the big 3 (Kubota, New holland, and John Deere) and see which you like better and how it stacks up accross the board.

Fearthisdeere has a JD 4310 (I think). you might consider sending him a pm. I'd say from hearing what he has to say about it that he likes it.

For 20k-30k of hard earned money, I would buy the best made reguardless where it is made. I have put about 100 hours on a Kubota L4340 and it was a dream to operate.
