I was approached by the kansas trade exchange to become a member. Does anyone participate in such a program. I told them that I would come to a meeting on thursday about it, they I went and looked at their website.

They require a $395 membership fee. And then a 12% cash fee on all sales.

This makes it sound like every job that I sell through their system I will basically lose 12% of the sale to them. Thats a huge chunk of change! A 12% fee is nuts...not to mention the $395 membership fee. I can get customers for a lot less than 12% of the sales fee.

You pay the 12% fee when you buy and you sell.

Pity post. All the con artists must think you all just fell off the turnip truck. First LS my amusement park and maintain it for free now this. Your instincts are correct stay away. I have never heard anyone come out ahead on barter relationships.
