    It's mid October, 2001.
What are the "Can't miss seminars and trade shows for a rookie in the business.
I'm in the southern Ohio region.
    Thanks

  2. If you are in Ohio, the NAA is having their annual conference this month I believe. That is something you may want to check into. It is over the course of a few days though. Actually it is from November 1-3 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Commercial Turf is having an expo in Atlanta Mar. 22 or there abouts. Indoor only - no outdoor demos. www.CommercialTurf.com and of course the Louisville Expo in July is big, but you probably need something closer and quicker than that. Come to the BBQ next Sat Oct 20 in St. Louis, see thread at the beginning of this forum and you would be able to talk to more people that have had more experience in mowing than you will ever find at an expo.

Check out your state turfgrass association at http://www.ohioturfgrass.org/. Their events calendar lists a show at Columbus in early Dec. Indiana's MRTF at http://www.agry.purdue.edu/turf/mrtf.htm has a list of programs in IN; note annual show at Indy in mid-January. Could also check other nearby states for their events; most big shows are during the winter. Lots of real hard info on turf management at these events.

If you just want equipment demos, Expo in Loiusville in late July is the place to go.

Plan on attending the CENTS Show put on by the Ohio Nursery and Landscape Association in Columbus in late January. I don't have the dates in front of me but if you drop me an e-mail as a reminder (I'm getting old, LOL), I'll look them up and send them your way.

If you are interested in more than just turf care, Ohio Nursery & Landscape Assn: http://www.onla.org/

Indiana Nursery & Landscape Assn: http://www.inla1.org/

Both have event calendars on home page, and other nearby state organizations will probably have their info online also.
