I have a 16' trailer tandem axle and one axle has brakes at one time. Just the backing plate there now. My question is how hard or easy to add brakes.

I need brakes on trailer it would diffently save the ones on my truck.
    Thanks

If the backing plates are there and you have the other axle to look at as an example it is not hard at all. The most difficult part will be to make sure you order the right brake assembly. Are you talking about adding brakes to the other axle or replacing the ones on the existing brake axle? If adding then you will have to order new hubs and drums for that axle also along with the brake assembly. Some of the kits will come complete if you can find the brand and model of the ones on the other axle.
