Sooo, what is looked for during a trailer inspection?

I've got a 10,000lb GW TA dump trailer.........replaced a missing reflector, lights work, tires have lots of tread (they are from 2001 though, guy before me didn't use the trailer much but it was on the lot until he bought it in 2003 so i only assume the tires are 2001, no dry rot etc)

So............what do they look for on dump trailers?

Technically you need to pull the drum and lok at the shoes but if they work and do not sound like they are grinding metal on metal they are good.

Very rarely do I haveone wear out... mostly they overheat and destroy the primary shoe or they have a magnet issue well before they wear out.
