I was curious to know what you all thought would be a good trailer for me. Here's what I would like it able to do.

    • Work with a 1/2 ton Pickup.
    • Haul in mulch and rock to jobs
    • Export spoils, broken concrete for my smaller concrete jobs & trimmings
    • Long enough to haul at least 12 foot lumber (preferably 14)
    • Be sturdy enough to haul a few smaller pieces of equipment.
    • Dump preferred but purely optional.

I'd appreciate your thoughts and recommendations as there are numerous styles, brands, size and cost of trailers.

Also, is there some good books out there to read for our field/profession. What gets you guys' attention?

    Thanks,
    Creter

Deffinitly get a dual axle trailer - they tow a lot better and bounce around a lot less than the single axle trailers.

I have an easy dumper. they are really nice. Try and find the lowest one possible. the higher ones are someitmes tough to load. they come in a lot of different sizes.

There are also walking floor trailers. you might want to look into those. I dont have any experience with them, but judging by the ads, they look nice.
