I'm in the market for an 16-18' tandem utility
trailer. 7000# should be fine. Two of the brands
I've looked at have been Mudhens and Ringoes.
The Mudhens seems well made, the Ringoes seems
lighter and uses square tube in places.

Any thoughts on these (or other) brands
    in general.

Also, what price range should this be?

I've got a Master Tow. It's 7'-16', tandem axles and tandem brakes. The jack folds up instead of being in the a frame. It has angle iron every 18", and is built strong. I paid $2032 with tax and the double brakes.

Mastertow trailers are built right here in NC. You would not believe it but the guys works out of a small building and welds them himself...
