trailer ?

    I need to wire my car for a trailer with surge breaks, I have 4 flat wiring now, i need 5-flat wiring. I have a 2000 merc mountianeer.

    You can get plug-in-kits for most every vehicle now a days. Most have a place to plug into in the back. Go to a U-Hall or trailer dealer for the kit or even a good auto parts store.

    cant find a 4 way flat to a five way flat

    Chances are you will have to convert to a round plug......

    Please explain why you need a 5 way plug for a trailer with
    surge brakes. Does your Mercury have seperate turn signals from
    the brake lights? I rented trucks and trailers (U-Hxxl) for 17 1/2 yrs. Do you need the extra wire for electric brake hook up?
