Transmission Problems

    :blob4: Can anyone tell me what to expect to pay for a new transmission for my Lesco 48" The book gives a part# for a peerless. BTW it is a walk behind.

    If the book gives the part no. for the Peerless why in the world would you not post the part no. What will a transmission for my car cost, it's a Ford. Later Butch

    Around $190.00 for a 5 speed.

    Also they show up on e-bay pretty often.

    I was going to replace mine over the winter because it was acting up, but I talked to the local mower repairman, and had rebuilt for $60. Seems to be better than new, but I haven't got to really use it, it is on my back-up mower now. Hope this helps!!
