trees start loosing yellowing leaves about now and has been happening for the last 3 years. Never completely looses all leaves but will loose a lot.
Any Ideas on what the cause is. I assume it is a fungus but what type and which is the best product to use?

    looks like a cherry tree?

general yellowing and premature defoliation are signs of root injury or crown injury. Any construction gone on around the tree? Anything that could have caused injury to roots or crown?

nope no construction, they have been in customers lawn for 4 or 5 years now with mulch beds around them. edging is very shallow so no root pruning had taken place.

    kickin sum grass,
Looks like Coccomyces Leaf Spot. Banner MAXX 2-4 oz. Per 100gal. Rate. 14-21 day Intervals. Rotate Banner MAXX with Clearys 3336F so you don't have any resistance problems. 3336 rate is 12-16 oz. Per 100 gal. I would spray now with banner MAXX and then 14 days later with 3336. Next season 1st spray right after flower with banner then another 14 days later with 3336 and 3rd 21 days later with banner. Confirm the above mentioned disease with your cooperative extension office before making treatment.
