I have been doing some tree business this year and found that a lot of money can be made.

I am not the professional tree man but I do have one.

I like that you do the job and your gone. With grass, it's some cash every week.

    Where do you stand???

It costs a helluva lot more to buy equipment for a tree service than it does for buying a mower, not to mention insurance costs.

If you're not experienced I suggest you do some learning first, 80 feet up in a tree is NO place for mistakes.

I refer you back to " I do have a professional".

Keep in mind, gross profit(not gross sales) is much higher.

So what exactly does this mean?

    You have one?
    Is he an employee?
If he is WHY is he doing lawn work?
Otherwise you don't have a professional.

I have a friend who has a business removing and trimming trees, I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

Here is how I do it: I have a full service Lawn Company that I work M-F with More work than I can handle and the phone rings off the hook all day long. All my lawn customers are on monthly fees and I do extremely well.

About every other Saturday, me and my helper will go out and raid neighborhoods with palm tree trimming. It is easy to turn out up to $2000 in one day of palm tree trimming.

I would love to do just the palm trimming full time, but it does get to be a hassle going door to door soliciting the business. Its easy though cause most people are just glad someone is willing to trim their palms.

Maybe next year I will get the chipper and chipper box on the back of a LCF and commit to it then.

People have no problem dropping $200 for a couple of palms to be trimmed but freak out when you tell them $140/month for Lawn Service.

    You decide.....:dancing:
