trencher attachments

    Anybody running one behind a tractor or a skid? how do they compare to a ride on trencher like a DW rt 40.

    The skid trenchers are nothing compared to a real trencher so if you have a lot of trenching to do go for the trencher but if you just have a little here and there a skid mounted one is ok

    we dont do a lot of trenching, just be nice to have and not have to rent. so production is a lot less than a dedicated one? Hell, I think the dedicated ones are slow pos!!!

    My machine makes about 19 GPM and I have a Bradco 625 trencher and it does good except during the summer when the ground is rock hard. If you have High flow those trencher rock.

    The Bradco 625 is inexpensive. I have been told a planetary direct drive has more torque but they cost more.

    If you need to trench 4 foot deep trenches the low flow will be slow going. Doing 2 foot trenches it works well.
