How much heat can a cotton liner take. i mean how long do you need to let a trimmer cool before you can put it on. Also have the same question for the heat liner one.

The cotton liner for all of our equipment covers is designed to protect the outer lining from melting when it comes in contact with any type of hot heat. If it can be touched with your hand, that is when to put the cotton liner cover on. If it is too hot to touch wait until you can is what we recommend.
The heat liner is good to go up to 600 degrees fahrenheit. This basically allows you to put any of the covers on right after the engine has been shut down. That also explains the extra cost for the heat liner covers.
    Thanks for the inquiry.
