On my trimmer I stand on the left side of the trimmer, because im right handed, my old trimmer, same brand spun the right way (threw stuff away from me), but my new one spind the opposite way and throws **** all over me, my legs are usually bledding by the time im done, Ive taken gnarly rocks to the face 3 times in the last 2 days, is there anything I can do to make it spin the other (right) way? this has to stop, my legs are getting shredded....

let me guess, you had a curved shaft and now you got a strait shaft, or vise versa?

OK just kdding I watched the video on the stihls and its the same way as my new one, still doesnt make much sence though, maybe I need a bigger deflector shield... cause I trimmed for an hour straight today and by the time I was done my legs litterlly had blood running down them....

Ok, if it is that bad then stop trimming around rocks and use round-up.

Seriously though, all commercial trimmers spin counter-clockwise and therefor are gonna throw stuff at ya. What I do if I am going to be trimming for 15 minutes or more is take a shinguard, the kind used in soccer and strap it on. Let that POS take the abuse and not your leg. You could also use a pair of chapps I suppose.

I think I am too, cant figure out why the old one spun clock wise but I really liked that way lol it was a little harder to flip it up and use it as an edger though because it pulled with you....
