Redmax line isn't braided. It's twisted line. That's why it's named Cable Twist. You should be able to get it anywhere they sell RM equipment. My local RM dealers all have it. It is the same basic line as Shindy Silent twist, but a bit heavier duty looking.

I just bought some Oregon Gator Magnum Platinum Super Twist. It is similar to Cable Twist, but the twist is slightly faster, and it has a special outer layer/coating that is supposed to resist wear and abrasion much better than other lines. I haven't got to try it yet, but I am hoping to maybe later this week.

What's the string that comes in the Stihl auto cut?

For those using the Redmax line, how does it feed? I liked the way it cut quietly. However, even the factory load on a new Redmax head didn't feed properly. Had to monkey with it. In my experience, many of the "shaped lines" simply bind up (varies based on the head used). Most reliable feeders have been either round or square. Of the ones I've tried (which is most) Gator Magnum is the clear leader. Especially like its wear properties, and clear color. Hope to try the gator twist stuff soon.

Try the .80 Stihl line. You can let out a lot of string which makes edging nice as it doesn't through things as far
