Mowing cemeteries and running a trimmer for several straight hours my fingers and wrists cramp up.Has anyone ever thought about designing a trigger lock so you do not have to hold it the entire time. Any ideas?

I use cheap plastic spring clamps to hold the bales down on mowers sometimes. Either yards that I have to dump the bag often, or ones with lots of kid toys. Don't see why it wouldn't work for a string trimmer.

you can use a zip tie to lock the throttle to were you want it.

Redmax trimmers come with a throttle lock. Works wonders.

the old redmax round rubber handles were way easier to hold onto then new splippery square shaped plastic junk . at least checker the plastic ones .

ide take thehead and handle off whip then slide a bunch of small but wide / thick rubber bands up the shaft to between the D handle and trigger handle . then when need one slide it up and over the trigger to keep depressed . plastic zip ties work too just carry small snips in back pocket to quickly cut them off when needed . long garbage bag type twist ties would work too . the old redmax had trigger locks which were nice but been eliminated on my new ones . between that and eliminating the perfect round rubber handles they made two mistakes

The throttle locks usually do break anyway. Only one of four work on ours.
