Looking at a new hedge trimmer, does any one have any experience with the kawi's? I Looked at the stihl, echo, redmax and the kawi's. The kawi's are at a 100 less than the rest. They also seem to be lighter.

Spend the money & buy Redmax. They're a tad bit heavy, but best on the market IMHO!

I have echo, redmax, and my brother has a stihl. Redmax is the best, Stihl is second but the gas tank is about 1/3 the size of echo and redmax. The echo is alright but it blows all the exhaust right in my face. Hope this helps.

We had a kawi and currently have stihl's.

Stihl's are much lighter, and do have a very small gas tank (lending to the very light weight). Cut well, but not as well as the kawi's.

Kawi's are excellent machines too just heavier.

You really can't lose with any of those brands.
