trimming around beds

    how does everyone trim around mulch beds that have been spade edged. we use the trimmer or stick edger to keep the edges. just curious as to what way everyone does it.

    I use the string trimmer for everything.

    Yep... Trimmer.
    I usually roll it onto its left side (as if the head were pulling me forward) and go with it.

    i use a shindawa bed edger, suppsed to be used for sidewalks and stuff, has the blade on it... i hope you know what im talking about, last a lot longer, blades cheaper, does not take as much skill, and goes a lot quicker, also roduces a much cleaner cut than string can.

    yeah i know what you mean. i think they look better if they are done every other week.

    we do them every week with the edger, it's so easy, and once the guy gets used to it it can usually be done at a steady walk pace.

    i'll do a test using a string trimmer and an edger then i will post some pics Wednesday
