The leaves and small branches our 5' Oleanders died during a recent freeze in Texas. What is the proper way to trim them back -- that is, how far down on the plant do I need to cut. I am thinking of hand picking the leaves off, and leaving the stem intact without trimming. If the leaves are brown and dead does it mean that the supporting branch is dead and needs to be trimmed off? Thx in advance.
