Engage the blades mower runs for 5-10 seconds and the blades disengage but the mower continues to run. Let it set for a couple seconds and same scenario happens.

I have changed the PTO switch and this has not changed anything. I thought well maybe its the safety shut off on the seat may be bad, but would that would shut the engine and all down. This is prolly a small problem and I am hoping to fix myself so I dont have to burn $65.00 an hour on it in the shop. This mower is not in my everyday rotation so this doesnt have me pinched but would definitely be helpful to get going again.

    Thanks

Check the gap on the PTO, may just need to be tightened up a little bit.

    will do thanks!

A couple times I tried to hold the pto knob up hard and it seemed to run a lil longer but finally disengage the blades. Thanks
