My Troy Bilt 33" Wide Cut drives as soon as I put it in gear, without engaging the clutch for the drive belt. It started this suddenly. The belt seems OK, I adjusted the travel on the clutch rod. This happened once before, but I can't remember what the problem was. Any other ideas out there?

I figured it out--the mounting bracket for the axle is broken in half, so the left wheel is shifted backward about 3/8", creating constant belt tension.

please tell me you are not using this commercially.........

I can't even get homeowners to run these units without problems.

I can tell you we are no longer using this commercially! It was my son's first venture in his business.

I use one at my house with no problems. Beats the heck out of a 21" or a small cheap tractor.

But yah, definitely not a commercial machine.
