This is not something that has to be fixed, just curious if it would be worth it.
The left transmission quit transmitting. I opened the case and all the gears are fine so it is something in the pump setup. My mechanic said the "squash plate and pistons" are very sensitive to debris/scratching making it wiser to replace the whole unit at $550.00 min. He wasn't selling me one cause he thinks the same way I do, MTD=pretty red junk. But we bought it and am seeing what it would take to fix.
Anything ese it could be? Thanks for any help.
